Planning
The Measles Initiative was formed in February 2001 to advocate for the reduction of measles deaths in Africa and involves the leading health agencies around the world. Strategies, budgets, and all planning activities are coordinated through the core partners and consensus is crucial.
Planning also takes place on the local level where campaigns will be held. Local Ministries of Health, WHO, UNICEF, and Red Cross National Societies all coordinate in-country to be sure all logistics needs and resources are covered.
