Measles is a deadly disease that impacts vulnerable children around the world– many don’t have access to health care. More than 17 million children are affected each year. Tragically, more than 600 children die each day.

Since 2001, the Measles Initiative has supported the vaccination of more than 500 million children in over 50 countries.

During this time, we’ve helped reduce measles deaths by 68% worldwide and 91% in Africa.

OUR WORK IS NOT OVER.

Now, the Measles Initiative’s goal is to reduce measles deaths by 90% by 2010 (compared to 2000).

Together, we are helping to ensure that millions of children get the chance to have a healthier future.

It costs less than $1 to vaccinate a child against measles.
